Hon John Dramani Mahama, the running-mate of Prof. Atta Mills is currently campaigning in the western Region.

News monitored from the twin-city, Sekondi-Takoradi, points to successful and well attended events with equally well delivered campaign speeches.

A Visit to Takoradi Polytechnic

Hon John Mahama visited the Takoradi Polytechnic over the weekend to witness the handing over ceremony as well as interact with the T’Poly students branch of the party (TEIN).

Though the event was not advertised, the Takoradi Poly grounds got choked with people, many of them students from other institutions, workers, traders and other identifiable youth groups.

The convoy of the running-mate, was virtually escorted by enthusiastic students from Effiakuma No. 9 traffic light, through ‘quarters’ to the T’Poly campus. There was an outpouring of sentiments and love for the party by many that had gathered, and this according to one student ‘will live with them even after the elections in December.

Hon Mahama was accompanied by Victor Smith and Johnson Asiedu-Nketisa, both of whom spoke to the crowd.
