Professor John Evans Atta Mills, will be joining the CJA, Concerned Ghanaians, and other progressive groups that will be protesting at the forecourt of Parliament House on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in the matter of the non-transparent sale of 70% sale of Ghana Telecom (GT) to Vodafone.
The NDC Leader is therefore urging all NDC members as well as well-meaning Ghanaians to be part of the protest to implore our lawmakers, who are the representatives of the people, not to support the NPP government in its desperate bid to sell-off GT.
Professor Atta Mills wishes to put it on record that if the NPP muscles its way through and sells-off GT under terms that don’t sit well with the norms of openness and transparency, as President, he shall ensure that the sale is reversed. And persons found culpable of shortchanging Ghanaians, shall face the full rigours of the law.
